VEGAS THREE CARD RUMMY: A BASIC INTRODUCTION

More and more online casinos, such as SBOBET, are spurting across the globe. With so many casinos come even more casino games. A player has hundreds of options to choose from when it comes to casino games. One of the exceptional games you should try is the Vegas Three Card Rummy. This game uses a deck with fifty-two cards and is unlike the classic Poker game. In this game you play versus the house instead of playing against other Poker players.

The play

You place an Ante wager and the dealer deals out three cards facing up for your hand. Then three cards facing down will form the dealer’s hand. You add up the point value of your three cards.

Aces always count as 1 and face cards count as 10. All other cards carry their pip point value.

A hand with two or three cards of matching rank will count as 0 instead of their individual point value. Examples of this are a pair or a three-of-a-kind.

A hand with two or three cards having the same suit and adjacent numbers will also count as 0.

Payouts

There are several possible payouts if you win the hand. The payout depends on the hand you have and what the dealer has. The payout for the Ante bet is always 1 to 1. A dealer’s hand of more than 20 is a non-qualifying hand. Your Play bet will result in a push no matter what you have in your hand. If the dealer holds a hand of 20 or less then it is a qualifying hand. Your hand will then receive payment depending on your hand. If your hand totals to 0, you receive 4 to 1. A payout of 2 to 1 is for a hand with a total of 1 to 5. A hand total of 6 to 19 pays out 1 to 1.

House edge

The house edge of this game across the round of betting is at 1.93% if you use an optimal strategy. The house edge of the Bonus bet is 3.46%, which can increase if you do not have any strategy.

Optimal strategy

It might come as a surprise for many, but the optimal strategy for this game is straightforward. It is best not to play the Bonus bet. You should also place the Play bet if your hand total is 20 or less. If the total is 21 or more, then you should fold.
